USB dongle model flasher
Online and offline flashing both upgrade USB dongle firmware. Use either one. Step-by-step guide: Flash USB dongle firmware.
- Online: Flash in Chrome or Edge on this page. No app to install. Supports ZBT-1P, ZBM-MG21, and ZBM-MG24.
- Offline: Download the Windows tool and run it locally when the browser cannot use the serial port. Currently supports ZBM-MG21 and ZBM-MG24.
Pick the correct model. Do not mix MG21 and MG24 images, and pick the matching protocol: Zigbee coordinator, Zigbee router, Thread, or Multi-PAN.
Before flashing, close anything using the serial port: ZHA / Zigbee2MQTT in Home Assistant, serial monitors, and other browser tabs already on this page. If the serial port does not appear, install the USB driver first, then reconnect.
Online flashing
Flash in Chrome or Edge on this page. No app to install. Supports ZBT-1P, ZBM-MG21, and ZBM-MG24.
ZBT-1P
EFR32MG21, USB is CP2102N. Hardware compatible with Home Assistant Connect ZBT-1, using official SkyConnect firmware. Supports coordinator, Thread, and Multi-PAN.
ZBM-MG21
EFR32MG21, USB is CH9102. No hardware flow control. Coordinator / router at 115200, Thread at 460800. Use firmware built for this model.
ZBM-MG24
EFR32MG24, USB is CP210x. No hardware flow control. Coordinator / router / Multi-PAN at 115200, Thread at 460800. Use firmware built for this model.
Offline flashing
Download the Windows tool and flash locally when the browser cannot use the serial port. Currently supports ZBM-MG21 and ZBM-MG24.
